The schedule for the week ahead looks the same as last week — Swim Lessons continue for the second week and lap swim and independent exercise are squeezed in around lessons and FREE Rec Swim times. The Board of Directors and appointed Budget Committee will meet again this next Tuesday June 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room at the Toledo Public Library to adopt the proposed budget for the District for the coming 2026/2027 fiscal year that begins July 1, 2026. The budget hearing was this past Tuesday and the proposed budget was approved. Now it needs to be formally adopted by the Board and filed with Lincoln County. The public is welcome to attend.
We will continue to look at the schedule for the Pool across the coming weeks and adjust it for additional Rec Swim times during these Summer months. The only thing really limiting us to schedule more open time at the Pool is having adequate lifeguard staff to cover all of the open hours. We have had a couple of our more senior lifeguards move on to full time career jobs, and we’re happy for them to pursue those opportunities, but it stretches our capacity to be open with the crew we presently have …. So again, we welcome people to apply for lifeguard positions at the pool. We are here to serve you; we simply need enough lifeguards to make that possible. Come enjoy the pool!!
