Greater Toledo Pool Patrons —
The Pool will be OPEN for the first few days of the week but CLOSED on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
We’ve noticed quite a decline in the number of community members making use of the pool over the last few weeks.
Part of it may have been people thinking that we would be doing Swim Lessons for TOES, but that has been postponed.
We welcome you to come and enjoy the warmth of the facility and take advantage of the warm water as Winter sets in.

Toledo Fire & Rescue to the rescue! Last Monday while preparing to open we found that our AED Emergency unit had the
“Replace Battery” alert flashing!! As a rule of safety we cannot open the pool if the AED unit isn’t operational. The pool staff
notified management of the situation and one of our lifeguard staff who also works for the City recommended that we call the
Fire Station to see if they could assist. With the Pool temporarily closed, we took the unit to Toledo Fire and Rescue station on
Burgess and Robert was there to save the day!!! He checked the unit, replaced the batteries with the specialty ones required —
which they had on hand … and “PRESTO!!” … the AED unit was back up and running — and the Pool was able to open back up
within the hour!! And the cost? Just replace the batteries we used … the rest was done as a community service!
Great teamwork! … and it’s GREAT to live in such a closely knit community!! Thanks, Robert!!
