Greater Toledo Pool Patrons:
The cool weather this weekend makes it feel more like April or May … but we need the rain so who can complain – right!? Summer is almost here and there are a number of things to share with you this week. Below is the schedule for the week. We will begin Swim Lessons next week, so get those lap reservations made this week because there might be fewer options in the following weeks as Lessons get underway. Make your lap swim reservations today — online or at the Pool in person!
With school letting out for Summer Break this coming week, we are planning to have daily Rec Swim times for kids and families to use the Pool. However, we want to advise parents and families of the new Oregon statute/law that is in effect now. Children under the age of 14 (roughly 8th graders and below) now require an adult or person over 18 to be present in the pool building when their children under 14 years of age are in the water. READ HERE This applies to kids coming for Rec Swim here at the Pool. We know this is probably a surprise — it was to us as well; but we must comply with the new law in order to operate the Pool. We still look forward to a fun Summer ahead, and ask for your support and compliance with this new law. See the flyer below for additional details.
The first session of Swim Lessons will begin the week of June 15th. Registration is available at the Pool in the week ahead — June 8th – 12th. See Flyer below for details. Registration must be done in person at the Pool and the lessons paid for in advance to insure your child/children get into the class you want for them.
We are still looking for lifeguards and swim instructors for work at the Pool this Summer and beyond. In order to keep the pool open and available we need to have staff to make that possible. With some of our current lifeguards advancing to full time career jobs and other opportunities, we need new individuals to replace them. If you are interested, or know someone who might be … please come and fill out an application this week. We will be conducting FREE lifeguard/CPR certification training as soon as we have enough candidates.
