Greater Toledo Pool Patrons: This past week brought us some ice and snow … and the surprise of Springtime daffodils beginning to bloom — crazy!! Hope the cold weather hasn’t been too inconvenient for any of you. We were closed one day this past week, and opened two hours late another day because of the icy roads around the County. I wanted to remind everyone that we follow the lead of Lincoln County School District (LCSD) in regard to closing for weather issues. I want our staff and all of you as patrons to be safe when we have unpredictable weather conditions. I also post the information on Facebook if we have to CLOSE the pool on short notice, and we reach out with TEXTs and emails to those of you who are registered at the pool to give a heads up. Be sure you’ve registered with the Pool, and that we have your correct phone number and email address if you want to get those notices. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. Hopefully we won’t have any more wintery weather to contend with … but we’ll always work to be safe rather than sorry!
The schedule and calendar for the coming week is attached. Be aware that we are starting Swim Lessons next week that will run until March 20th — the start of Spring Break for LCSD schools. So the schedule for lap swimming will be somewhat compressed during some parts of the day. Check the schedule posted online or on Facebook to make reservations online at www.greatertoledopool.org ; or, call the Pool for assistance. We want to make the Pool accessible to as many different individuals and groups that we can! If you still want to have your child participate in Swim Lessons, you can call the pool on Monday the 23rd to see if there are any openings still available!
REMEMBER – Rec Swim is open to everyone on Sunday and Wednesday afternoons. The Valentine Rec Swims we sponsored last week were well attended. We had 53 people at the Sunday Rec Swim on the 15th; and, 37 people on Monday the 16th!! It was nice to see the good turn-out; and great to see everyone having FUN!! And remember — Rec Swim is FREE for everyone! Come make a SPLASH!!
