The Halloween Party at the Pool a week ago and the Trick or Treating on Main Street on Halloween gave us a chance to see and appreciate the families and people we serve here in the District. It’s always fun to participate in the annual Halloween event on Main Street. It brings out so many people in the community, and gives everyone a chance to enjoy this town and what it has to offer. Take a look at a couple of the photos we captured.

Things have CHANGED!!! The schedule for the first two weeks of November is attached. Our plan to provide Swim Lessons for TOES students has been delayed by 2 weeks — the teachers and students needed some additional time to get every detail in order. It takes a LOT for the teachers, staff and bus drivers to incorporate the Swim Lessons into any already full daily schedule. And it takes a lot for our STAFF here at the pool to re-arrange shifts and schedules to make it work. The plan as it stands now is to begin lessons during the week of November 17th. It’s absolutely a TEAM EFFORT to make this all work out … but we love to make it happen and look forward to getting the lessons going the two weeks prior to Thanksgiving, and on into December!

The Board of Directors for the District is also hard at work getting everything coordinated to make decisions on the “New Pool” project. Over the last several months they have secured a Project Management team (Integrity Management Services) and selected the Architect for the project — Scott Edwards Architects. There is currently work underway to critically evaluate the architect’s design with cost estimators who can help the Board determine a more precise budget for the project. That work should be done within about a month, and the Board will be making decisions soon. If you’d like to preview a rendering of the plan as it stands now, come by the Pool and take a look. It’s on display at the front office area of the Pool. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted — more to come in the weeks ahead!!
