Greater Toledo Pool Lifeguarding Class
When: November 9th-10th and 16th-17th
Time: 10AM to 5PM
Course Fee: Free (Typically $200 for Certification).
An American Red Cross course designed to teach the necessary skills to pursue a profession in lifeguarding. Participants must be at least 16 years old by the completion of the class, and pass a pre-course swimming test which includes:
- A 300-yard swim
- Two minutes of treading water (no hands)
- Retrieving a 10-pound brick from a depth of 7-10 feet of water
Pretesting for this class will need to be schedule during the week of November 4th– 8th. Those that pass the pre-course swimming test will be eligible to take the class.
Participants who successfully complete course will receive certifications in:
- Lifeguarding/ First Aid: Good for 2 years
- CPR/AED for Lifeguards: Good for 2year

TIME: 8am – 5pm
